Happy Thanksgiving to you all--yes I know it's over but I thought I would say it anyway! We spent our
Thanksgiving at the ranch with Brian's family--it was a blast! Brian and Boone went down on Saturday with Pops and Grandma Lou and Uncle Chad and Mois and Pa (Boone's great grandparents) and then they met up with Adele and Bobby and Josh. Then Art and Ben came in later that night. I had to stay here because I didn't get out of school until Tuesday. It was so strange being here by myself for 3 nights. The days weren't bad because I could keep myself busy with errands and work but the nights were so lonely without my two boys. I was so happy Tuesday when I finally got to see them again. They kept Boone
up for me so I could see him--it was really sweet and funny because he just had this look on his face like hey I know you but it's been a while! So cute!! Boone's other cousins Amanda and Trey came in later that night with Vicki and Jerry and then Leslie and Dustin came in Wednesday afternoon. So we had a FULL house but we had so much fun. We ate a TON (and it was amazing food), talked a bunch, sang some songs--thanks Dustin and Art, saw a ton of animals, and had a really wonderful time. Boone LOVED all of the attention he got and has still not adjusted to being home with just Mom and Dad--he's missing the whole crew! He did so good when we were there. He's good about going to everybody and being a really easy baby. He had a great time watching the dogs and exploring the grass outside. He even played washers and I have to say got pretty good at it. Better than I was! We left Saturday morning and brought Mois and Pa back to the airport but I have to say I was completely wiped out and I think Boone was glad to be back in his house. I wish I had videoed him
when he saw his room for the first time. It was hilarious!!! We really hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too! There is nothing more important to us than our family and friends so we hope you all know how much we love you and howthankful we are to have each of you in our lives. And Happy 1st Thanksgiving and 11 month birthday Boone!! It's all going too fast!! :) Have a great week!!

Tubes are In!!!
So we have tubes now! And I can not tell you how great he was through the whole thing. Grammy came
in to be with Boone during the surgery--she was as nervous as I was but at least Brian was calm for the both of us. We had to be there at 5:30 to check in and then around 6:15 they called us back into the pre-op room. Brian and I went back with him, Mom stayed in the waiting room. After it was all done I told Mom sorry I didn't come switch with you so you could go back there and she said No, I really didn't want to go back there anyway! Ha Ha Anyway we went back and got him changed into a little gown--it was the sweetest/saddest thing! It was so cute on him but it still hurt a little seeing him in it because I knew what was coming. We waited there for the next hour and a half and he did so good while we waited. Brian and I traded off walking him around but as long as he could see everyone and was moving he was fine. All of the other babies were crying back there but Boone never cried once. The doctor came by and walked us through everything one more time then the anesthesiologist came by to tell us about putting him under and then he was off for surgery. Of course I cried a little but it wasn't near as bad as
I thought. So we get to the waiting room and literally 10 minutes later here comes our doctor telling us everything went great. He did have an infection in both ears but he gave us some drops for that. Two minutes after that we went back into the post op room and could hear Boone screaming as soon as we walked in. That was by far the hardest part--watching him come out of the anesthesia. His eyes were rolling back and he was screaming (oh yeah and he was the ONLY one screaming this time!!) So the nurses got us packed up pretty fast and we were out of there by 8:30. Once we got in the car Boone was fine. I don't think he ever cried again and when we got home he played and played! You would have never known he had done anything that morning by the way he was acting. It was awesome!!! I never want to go through anything like that again (fingers crossed) but it was much better than I had ever expected. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts for Boone and his ears. We are so thankful and grateful to the doctors and nurses as well. We are counting our blessings!! I had a great time
hanging out with my mom and I know Boone LOVED playing with his Grammy! She brought him a cool farm house toy and some cute new clothes and she also brought some toys and clothes from GiGi. She sent him a cool new table with a laptop and a telephone! He loves it already!!! She also sent him some cars and this cool microphone that we took with us to the hospital. It saved us from the screaming! Thank you Grammy and GiGi for spoiling Boone in the best way possible! :) Mom left on Friday and the rest of the weekend has been pretty nice. We haven't done a lot but have had lots of fun doing nothing!! Boone is trying to walk--he has taken 2 to 3 steps on his own and he has a new tooth. But it's not one of the big top teeth...it's a fang!!! So funny! Nothing is ordinary with this kid! :) Well he's off to nap so I'm headed to do the same....Hope you all had a good weekend and we love you all!!!

Halloween and LBK
OK so I am WAY late for this update but it's been a BUSY and EXHAUSTING week! We went to Lubbock this weekend for the Tech game and Halloween and we had a great time...and Tech won so things were good!
Boone did great on the way to Lubbock--I actually don't even think that great would describe it. We were in the car for 7 hours and he did not cry one single time. We did get out to eat for lunch but even after we got back in the car he was fine...now coming home that's a whole different story...I'll save that for later on. We got to Lubbock around 5 and hung out with Grammy and PaPaw and then Megan, Cory, Laney and Jake were there around 8.The boys are really cute together and Laney loves to play with/boss them around. It was really funny to watch her because she would give the boys toys to play with if they were preoccupied with something else but then when they wanted to play with the toys she would take them and run off saying they were hers. She was hilarious to watch and she the best part was she kept bouncing the balls off the boys heads. I loved it and the best part is it's only going to get better! It will be fun at Christmas when they are starting to walk around to see what Laney will do then. I love it! So Saturday we went to the game and tailgated with Grandaddy (for some reason lately I have been calling him Daddy G...I have no idea where that came from and it makes me laugh when I say it but that's probably what Boone will end up calling him.....sorry Dad!) He has a great tailgating spot right now. It's over by the baseball field so there is a huge fenced in grassy spot with a ton of area for the kids to run/crawl around. We had a ton of fun and got to see some old friends, cousins, sisters/sisters in law and met some new friends too. Boone did great for his first big football game. None of the cheering scared him and for the most part I think he had a really good time! We were able to stay for the whole game and then we headed back to Grammy and PaPaws to get ready to go Trick or Treating! Well Boone really wasn't wanting to go but you know how that is....you dress them up, take a few pictures and be done with it. Jake and Boone were not so happy about being in their costumes but they just looked so darn cute and of course Laney looked adorable but it was even better because she would say ARRR like a pirate! Too cute! We put the boys in a double stroller and walked them around the block with Laney while she went up and got
the candy from the people. She was a little hesitant but got the hang of it pretty soon. She wanted to eat her candy after breakfast the next morning and kept taking the candy left over from Mom's house. So finally Megan just dumped what was left over in her bucket....needless to say she was a very happy girl! Sunday we packed up and headed home. Brian went to New Mexico to go hunting (shocking right?!) so it was just me and the Mister for the 7 hour drive home. He did great at first---he slept from Lubbock to San Angelo. We got out and ate lunch which was fun but let me tell you something---trying to go to the bathroom while holding your 10 month old is NOT easy! You forget how easy things are when there are two of you but when you're all alone it makes it a little more complicated! After leaving San Angelo Boone lost it!!! He had a COMPLETE MELTDOWN!!!!! It was so bad that by the time we reached Eden I had to stop and turn his seat around so I could pass him cookies to keep him quiet. But as soon as I ran out he was screaming at me again! I can't blame the kid, I was worn out too and didn't want to be in that car anymore so I can only imagine how he felt. About the time we got to Junction (1 1/2 hours later) he finally had worn himself out and fell back to sleep. It was pretty peaceful the rest of the way home--we had a few moments of panic when he would wake up and realize we were still in the car but then would fall right back to sleep. It was a LONG drive home!! Thanks Brian!!! :) The week has been good. Brian got home Tuesday night so it was really nice to have some relief again. I told him last week that you just don't realize how much work it is until you are alone doing everything on your own.
If I wasn't working full time it would be a different story but it gets really hard when you work all day and don't have anyone to help when you're home at night. I give all of the single working moms so much credit. I don't know how you do it and remain sane!!! :) I am so glad it is Friday and the weekend seems pretty slow--- YAY!!! We are using a babysitter for the first time tomorrow night so we can go to Wurstfest with some of our friends. We are really excited but I have to admit I am a little nervous just because it's a totally different thing when you are leaving them with family. But some other friends have used Angela before and she seems really sweet. She's going to come over early so they can play for a while and get used to each other. Brian and I are really excited for a night out and a baby sitter for future nights out! We had our family pictures taken two weeks ago and they are finished and really, really BEAUTIFUL!!! She did an amazing job! If you want to look at them you can go to http://www.lifeimprintsbykim.com/ At the bottom you will see customer galleries--click on that then go to my name (at the bottom) and our password is Taco. It is the name of the dog that was following us everywhere....Boone loved him! He actually mad it in one of the pictures.....too funny!!! Hope you all love them as much as we do and have a wonderful weekend! We love yall!!!
You can't see Boone very good but I really like this picture
