Well Tech finally looked really good yesterday! That is so exciting....better late than never I guess but our quarterback looked awesome!! We had a good week. Boone was on antibiotics though
so there were no new ear infections. Brian took him in Friday morning and they checked his ears (looked good) and did his 9 month well baby checkup. There were no shots this time--well except for the flu shot but they did do his height and weight and he was in the 82% for weight and the 77% for height so he's not quite as off the charts as before still pretty big! Brian went out of town again this weekend so it was just me and Boone. We ran some errands on Saturday. There was a boy (8 or 9) and his family standing outside of a store I was going in and he was wearing a Texas jersey and Boone as you can see was wearing his
Tech jersey. The kid yelled EWWW that baby is a Texas Tech fan! So I turned around and said Well that's how I feel about you too!! No just kidding I didn't but I wanted to so bad! Little snot.....that will never be Boone :) I think we are all thinking yeah right! We got to watch the first half of the game together and Boone loved it when I sang the Fight Song--and when we'd get our guns up! He's so much fun. He has started to try and stand on his own. He does it pretty often for 5 or 10 seconds but this afternoon it was more like 20 or 30! It's so crazy to think that he will be walking soon. Brian told someone the other day that Boone would be walking in 2 weeks. Now I don't think that is true but I do think it will be before his 1st birthday! And it's coming up soon! Boone's friend/future wife Anna turns 1 on Thursday so Happy Birthday Anna and Congrats Dana and Russell for making it through the first year! Grandma Lou (Cindy) and Leslie are coming in this week to watch Boone for the weekend---we are going to a wedding in Kerrville. I am so excited to have a weekend off--yes Boone I love you more than anything in this world but Mommy is taking a vacation--even if it's only and hour a way. Our friends Don and Amy are getting married--we are so excited for them! Hope you all have a great week and Don and Amy enjoy this time together and Happy Birthday sweet Anna!

Well the rest of our week did not get any better (well until yesterday that is). Thursday I got a call at work from the day care and they told me that Boone had started to run a low fever again and that he was having trouble breathing....of course I started to freak out. Luckily Brian was still at home so he called and talked to the nurses at our pediatricians office and they suggested that we bring Boone back in. So Brian took him and the doctor there sent them over to the hospital to
get x-rays of his chest because they thought he had some rapid spreading pneumonia. Now Brian didn't tell me how bad they thought it was until after it was over...thank goodness. The x-rays came back clean and we have no idea why he was having so much trouble breathing. He was doing something called splinting and they described it as if you had broken a couple ribs so every time you take a breath your lungs hurt. It was pretty sad to see him Thursday night because you could tell he was hurting and scared. They gave him a shot at the hospital and we went back Friday morning for a follow up. They checked his oxygen levels and listened to his lungs but they said they couldn't explain what happened because he sounded great. They think that he was exposed to something new and had a reaction or we caught the pneumonia in the early stages. Either way it was a very scary couple of days and to be honest I'm still confused by the whole thing and I am really hoping it was just some freaky thing that is over and will never happen again! And I wanted to say thank you to all of you who called to check on him and for everyone who said prayers for him--we are so grateful to you all! Our little guy seems good now but I still find myself watching him very closely--I'm still a little shocked by it all. On a lighter note our Red Raiders won!! YAY! I hope our boys can get it together for the rest of the season but I'm afraid we'll just have to wait and see. Boone put on his new Tech polo for the game! What a cutie huh?! I don't know what we are going to do about that hair! Have a great week--we love you all!
This is a video of Boone just playing like he does--all over the place and into everything! It's long but watch if you like and sorry about the blurry parts--too much movement!

Happy 9 Months Boone!!
I wasn't going to post anything today since I did yesterday but I ended up being at home with Boone this afternoon. We were supposed to have a "well baby" visit at 4 but instead we had a "sick baby" visit at 1! Last night Boone started screaming when we were trying to put him down--we first thought he was extremely worn out since he hadn't napped much that day but when he started screaming 11:15 we knew it had to be his ears AGAIN!! Poor guy! So this morning he was ok--a little cranky but no fever so he went to day care and we tried to make it through the day but when I called to check on him they said he had been really fussy and didn't want to eat so I decided to go get him. The doctor said the right ear is really red and puffy and it might end up perforating but the left ear was fine. So we are on another antibiotic and we will see what happens this time. Anyway so we got to have a lot of play time today and I took this video during it. He was crawling around--yes he decided to start crawling on his 9 month birthday!! So he is crawling at the very beginning then goes back to army crawling. He's pulling up and sitting up but I'm thinking he's not going to crawl but at the very end he starts to crawl and the camera runs out of memory...of course! You still get to see a little though. :)

This is a video of Boone pulling himself up but I forgot it was turned the wrong way so you have to watch it sideways....sorry! Oh and sorry for the gasping....he has been really good about catching himself but it's still scary when he starts to fall!
