Three in one day?

I know I can't believe this is my third post today but I had to put the video of him rolling over on here. I had just put him down when I started filming so you can see he was mad from the start and I love his laugh/cry after....what a good actor!

Cousins!

My mom sent me some pictures of Boone's cousins, Laney and Jake. They are too cute! I had to put them on here for everyone to see. Jake is 3 months old today (Happy 3 months Jake!) and Laney will be 2 in July.

Jake----chillin (such a man) :)

I love this dress on her! And her cute room!

Jake looks SO much like Boone to me in this one. It's weird sometimes they look so much alike and other times so different!

This face says it all!!!

We had a big week!

Time for the Sunday update! :) We had a great week with lots of BIG things happening. We had a great week at day care and Boone is getting better about stretching out his meals and taking longer naps so it makes things a lot easier on everybody. OK so on to the BIG things!! First we got a new sprinkler system put in this week and it is Fabulous!!! We are so excited because Brian would spend HOURS watering the yard and it looked good but now it is going to look great and with a lot less work. Now Boone will have a nice yard to play in! While the sprinkler guys were here Ellie got out of the yard--apparently she was afraid of them. Brian drove around for a while looking for her and when I got home I did the same and finally found her on the same street she was last time. I have got to get tags for those dogs! Put that on the long list of to do's! So the next big thing is that Boone started to sleep in his own room on Wednesday. It was a rough first night but he is doing SO good now. Last night he woke up once at 3:15 ate maybe 2 oz and slept until 7:45. Now--- most of the babies we know are already sleeping through the night but we are very excited for what Boone is doing. I am getting a lot more sleep and Brian has been so sweet to do a lot of the nights lately so it has been really nice. Then on Friday I was taking Boone to school we were stopped at a light and the person behind me hit me--we were all stopped so it wasn't hard--so I pulled over and the jerk drove off! I was so mad! But Boone slept through the whole thing so that tells you how minor it was and it doesn't look like it did anything-- but I'm still pretty mad about that one! Another Big new thing is Boone has now found his scream-- it is hysterical! He does it all the time now-- instead of talking like he was doing last week this is what he does now. There is a video of it below. And the last but BIGGEST BIG thing is BOONE ROLLED OVER!!!! :) Can you tell I am so happy! I was with him when he did it for the first time and me and Brian videoed the second time but it is him rolling to his side then eventually rolling to his back. But now he just rolls over like no big deal. So I am going to try and get a video of him doing it later. So check back for that soon!! He is so awesome and we are the luckiest parents ever. It is the coolest thing ever to be a mom to this amazing little man! Last night we went out to eat with Chad and Stephanie-- we had a great time (as always!) Stephanie was holding Boone when he decided to spit up but Chad jumped in and caught it! What a great aunt and uncle Boone has. I forgot my camera....I know hard to believe. Steph said I'm starting to slip--she may be right! Anyway she took a TON of really cute pictures so I'm going to try and get some of those so check back for that too. Hope you have a good Sunday and great next week. We love you all!!

WOAH-- Big eyes!!

Happy Face!

I took this of Boone when he was just playing by himself on the mat-- the video is long but I think he does lots of cute things in it---but then again I am his mom! :)

This is just a video of us trying to get Boone to scream. But I really like it because I know that Boone has grown a lot but when you see Brian's hand on him he still looks so small! I love that!

Well another week has come and gone. Time is just flying by these days-- I only have 51/2 weeks left of school and I am so looking forward to my summer off with Boone. The weekends are so great with him and he just grows and changes all the time. I think I see him do something new everyday---it is so amazing! We had a great week. Boone has started to get on a schedule with his naps and when he eats and it feels like things get easier and easier as he gets older. Or maybe we just have it figured out now---either way I'm loving it. Boone still isn't sleeping through the night but I have a feeling he will be soon. And I just have to remind myself to enjoy every moment right now because it will be gone too fast. Seeing how much Boone has already grown is exciting and sad at the same time. But I know we have a lot of fun to look forward to. We went over to our friends Dan and Cheryl's house Friday. We haven't hung out with them in forever! It had been way to long but now Boone is at a great age and makes it easy to go out and see friends. So we all just hung out and watched two of their kids play with Boone and entertain us in other ways (Jack who is 3 danced for us--it was adorable
and Olivia who is 6 was the best babysitter ever!) We had a great time! The other day Boone was putting a blanket in his mouth and I told Brian this was the beginning of us having to pull things out of his mouth or tell him to spit that out! He is chewing on everything now! I have proof in the pictures. :) I can already tell being the mom of a little boy is going to be very exciting--in every good way possible! Hope you all had a great week and weekend--We love you!

He's a Talker!

Well Boone has decided he likes to hear his voice! He is quite the talker now that he has figured this whole thing out. Brian and I laughed and laughed at him the first night he started this and now we are constantly trying to get him to do it. It is adorable!

Egg Hunt

Well not really an egg hunt but I had to have some pictures of my cool Easter Basket

I'm so excited!

All that was left after my cousin Laney came to visit

But I'm still happy!

Mom decided I should wear the basket which was fine until.....

OOPS!!

HAPPY EASTER--- Love Boone!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We hope you all had a wonderful (and hopefully) long weekend. I had to put this picture of Boone here because even though I couldn't get him to look at the camera I still think it's a really sweet shot. He looks so grown up! Last night I was looking at him in bed and he looks so much bigger to me now. I don't think I had really noticed how much he had grown until then. I guess I have been in denial that it is going by so fast! It was a sad start to our week (or at least mine) because I was the cause of Boone's first emergency! Well an emergency in my mind, not so much in his daddy's though. I was cutting Boone's fingernails because he had scratched his head up (poor thing). Well I was on his thumb and went to make the last cut and went to short and he jerked and took some skin with him. It was HORRIBLE! I felt like the worst mom ever! It bled for quite a while but Boone never really seemed upset by it--well except for the 3 minutes of screaming/crying when it happened. The pictures look bad but I had to show you his first band aid! The rest of the week was good. Brian was able to do some yard work on Friday (the yard looks amazing!) and I ran some errands and it's a good thing we did because Friday night I was throwing up all night from a stomach bug. Brian was great on Saturday and cleaned the house, did laundry and took care of Boone (I was so impressed by him) while I kept myself quarantined in the bedroom. I started to feel much better by 4 so I guess it was a 12 hour bug. Then this morning around 5 Brian was hit by the bug and got sick. He feels ok this morning but we are keeping our fingers crossed Boone doesn't get it! So it has been a rough weekend but still a relaxing and peaceful one. I have tomorrow off so I don't know what we are going to do but hopefully we will all be well by then! :) Thank you to everyone who made Boone's first Easter so memorable! Thanks to Pops and Lou for the wonderful books (Boone loves the hand puppet for Old MacDonald) and the adorable El Papalote shirts. I can not wait for Boone to be wearing that as we head down to the ranch. How cute! Grandaddy and GiGi thanks for all of the cute outfits and crab swimsuit-- summer can't come soon enough and the hopping bunny! And a special thanks for the Easter presents for Brian and I--we do still get presents! :) Grammy and Pa Paw thanks for my first Easter basket (a camo one!) the cute outfit and of course the Exersaucer! You know how much I love that! Thanks to Great Aunt B for the singing duck/rabbit (this keeps him entertained all the time) and the stretchy frog book and to Aunt Megan for the Music and Sounds Book--we have already found some favorites! We feel so blessed and are grateful to you all for making our baby's 1st Easter a wonderful one. Happy Easter everyone. We love you!
