Meeting New Friends

Thursday I took Boone up to my school to meet everyone. Dana and I were having a party for our long term sub Diana--she subbed for Dana when she was out and then moved over to my room to take over for me. I worked out perfect that way and Diana was amazing! So at school Boone got to meet Kolt and see Anna (they are all going to be great friends! With Macee and Reid too). It was adorable! I mean Boone got to see all of his new friends at school but seeing all of the babies was the BEST! Kolt is Christa's little boy--she teaches at my school--and she had Kolt 8 days after I did. He is so long and lean, quite the opposite of Boone. They are around the same weight but I think Boone is built like a football player and Kolt is going to be a basketball player or better yet a baseball player (his dad might like that more). He is adorable and so quiet and sweet. And then there is Miss Anna-- oh my goodness this girl is so cute! She talked to the boys the whole time we were there and had a huge smile for us all. She is 4 months now and is too cute for words! We stayed and talked until like 4 or 4:30 so needless to say Boone was exhausted when we got home. He went to bed around 6 woke up once for 5 minutes to eat and was out for the rest of the night! I think he had a pretty good time though and loved being around the kids--he sat so quiet and just watched them all. I guess he remembers those sounds. It was lots of fun and it was a great look into his future and some friends he already has. We are going to have to get a picture soon of all 5 babies because hopefully they will be around each other for a very long time. Since today is my last day with Boone before I go back we are just hanging out (he's napping now--obviously!). We went for a walk and read some books--So far we love Brown Bear, Brown Bear but do not like Goodnight Moon. Maybe I need to save that for the night time. My mom (Boone's Grammy) is coming in Sunday to stay with Boone this week. I am so thankful because I am not ready for him to go to Daycare yet--I need a few more weeks. So she is going to keep him this week and then the next is my Spring Break so Boone won't go to daycare until the 16th--please keep me in your thoughts this day :) And pray I don't have a complete meltdown--just kidding. It's going to be great and he will love it--I'm sure of it. Hope you all had a good week and have a fabulous weekend!!

Happy Face!

I made him wear his hat from the hospital--so funny

His new favorite thing--knuckles

It's hard to be a baby

Look at those cheeks

Chillin in my swing

Boone, You look so cute with your friends, well, you are cute anyway. Your Grammy,s pretty lucky. Maybe I can come see you before long. I know you will have a hard time leaving him, but it'll be okay, I hate it for you,and God only knows how I would be. I wish I could help you. Try and not worry about it. The pictures are great, and thanks again for all the updates. Love and kisses! GiGi

Boone seems like he is really taken with his new friends! Are those really his cheeks or does he have something in his mouth? It's great you don't have to take him to daycare on your first day back but I'm sure he will be fine in a couple of weeks. He will love watching the other kids.
Tell Boone to have fun with Grammy next week. I'm sure she won't spoil him.
