The Lake

One of my favorite things about summer is going to the lake on the weekends. If you have seen Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo then you know it's not the prettiest lake out there but I love it there. We just sit outside and watch the boats and people go by and everything is pretty peaceful. This weekend was even better because we got to see P.A.'s sister-- and her whole family. They all drove down from Amarillo and Canadian to spend the weekend with us. It was a lot of fun. We actually didn't go down until Saturday-- we were waiting to see how Boone felt and we figured one day would be tiring enough! There were a ton of kids down there and it was so cute to see all of these cousins so close in age and playing with each other. They are all so lucky to have each other to grow up with. There is nothing better than a big family--right?! We played in the water a little. Boone got to wear his adorable little crab swimsuit (thanks GiGi) but I didn't get out my camera until Sunday--you will notice everyone is wearing the same thing since i took all of these pictures in an hour. :) OOPS!! So hopefully Meg or Mom got a picture of him and if so I'll post those later. It was funny though because he really didn't care too much about the water (not the lake--we had a kiddy pool set up). It was a little cold and he just wanted to get out. But at least we got to try out the bathing suit. Boone did really good the whole trip. He did freak out this morning around 4:30. He woke up and it was pitch black and I think he got scared since he didn't know where he was but we got him calmed down and the rest of the night was fine. It was pretty sad though--poor thing! He seems to be feeling good now and the cough is going away so that's good but we are going to keep a close eye on him because we definitely don't want it to sneak back in on us. We had such a good time this weekend and it was so nice to see all of our family and let the kids all meet each other. Hopefully we will do it again soon but we will for sure see everyone again at a Tech game this year! Gotta love those Red Raiders!
